"I don't need a friend who changes when I change and who nods when I nod;
my shadow does that much better."
Plutarch

WRITING
Reminding myself about the good things in life.
A list of what you need and what you don't.
A quote to remember about loving life.
The importance of refreshing your mindset.
Books I've read this month.

WANTING
Lately I've been toying around with the idea of getting a guinea pig. I would love to have a little pet around to cuddle and keep me company, and guinea pigs are SO cute. I still need to do some more research to see if it'd be a good fit, since I don't know much about them. I do want something relatively low maintenance. If any of you have tips on what to expect when owning a guinea pig, please send them my way!

BUYING
Emma Gannon's book "Ctrl Alt Deleteand Laura Jane Williams' book "Becoming," BOTH of which I am very excited to read.

READING
A poem about changing skin and not being the same person every day.
Jennifer Aniston speaking out about body shaming disguised as journalism.
Beautiful words about forgiveness, and revolutionizing the world through kindness.
A reminder that your story matters.
Why a Done list is more productive than a To-Do list.
Jenny Slate's tweet about progress.
About getting what you want out of a friendship by asking for it.

Some people will welcome your garbage. You'll knock on their door, feeling small, and they'll welcome you in and they'll make you tea and they'll say, "Let's go out back, where you can dump all that garbage onto the ground and we can sort through it together." I know that sounds like a fantasy. But good, smart, patient friends who care a whole hell of a lot are not a fantasy. Be one to someone else, someone who deserves it, and you will find one or two or five or ten in return.

WATCHING
"Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates" was a hilarious movie. A great cast dynamic.

Zoella talking about online hate and how she deals with it.

"Lights Out." I've felt kind of ~over~ scary movies for a while because so many of them seem the same. This one had more plot to it, though, an aspect that I think helped set it apart from others.

ENJOYING
Osea atmosphere protection cream, from my FabFitFun summer box. It's very lightweight, working well as a morning moisturizer to put on before/underneath makeup.
