"The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well."
—Ralph Waldo Emerson

WRITING

FEELING
For most of the month, I've felt pretty stressed at work. Life's been taking a bit of a toll on me. Thank you to those who have kept me in mind, checking in with me and/or extending kind words. I notice, and I appreciate it. I'm forever grateful for the good people in this world.

LISTENING TO
Tessa Violet's new EP, "Halloway." Even though I don't know her personally, I feel weirdly proud of her. (I've watched her on Youtube since 2008!)

WEARING
These ankle boots. Not only are they perfect for fall, but they're a great casual boot that still looks nice enough to wear to work. I've gotten a ton of compliments on them – and they aren't even pricey! I originally bought the brown pair and have since gone back for the black too.

THINKING ABOUT
Making more videos. Not necessarily vlogs, since my daily life is fairly ordinary, but more fun things like unboxings, book reviews, or anything else that I'd prefer to talk about rather than write about. There's something just a little more personal about seeing and hearing someone talk instead of reading words they wrote.

LOOKING FORWARD TO
Next month I'm going to be attending Anna Kendrick's book tour! I'll be getting a signed copy of the book, and there will be an audience Q&A. I've never been to anything like this before, so it'll be a whole new experience for me (and I will definitely blog about it).
