November Wrap-Up

Why have I not been using these cute pictures of puppies from my calendar for my monthly wrap-ups?!

WRITING

ENJOYING
One of the most exciting things for me this month was starting the "Finding Your Spark" series. The first story went up near the beginning of the month and quickly jumped to being my number one most viewed post. I have a handful of others in the works that I'm loving putting together and am eager for you all to read! (If you know someone who'd be good for this, or if you have a story of your own, email me!)

WATCHING
I finished "Parenthood" on Netflix. The day I watched the series finale was a very emotional day for me. (If you follow me on Snapchat, you already know.)

Of course I watched all four episodes of "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" last weekend. The best part, for me, was how true to character everyone was, even after nine years. Lorelai was still Lorelai, Emily was still so Emily. One of the most interesting comments I saw about the revival season was about how we never see Rory with a book.

LISTENING TO
The latest addition to my podcast line-up is "2 Dope Queens" with Phoebe Robinson (whose book is on my to-read list) and Jessica Williams. It's stand-up and storytelling. The two of them will chat for a while at the beginning, telling funny stories, followed by three guests.

BUYING
I finally bought a car mount for my phone. It stays on the dashboard really well, even if you un-stick it and move it. And because of the extended arm, you have a little more flexibility with how the phone is positioned.

FEELING
At risk of being inside for the next three months. I'm a homebody as it is (and contrary to the social stigma, I don't think that's a terrible thing!), but now winter gives me the perfect excuse to spend all my time indoors. Friends: Don't let me isolate myself! Make me go outside and participate in life! I'm counting on you.

WANTING TO
Write more. More specifically, journal more. I rarely do it these days, but writing every day is important, so I want to get back into it. I found a good 30-day writing challenge on Pinterest and plan to follow that throughout December. Fingers crossed I stick with it!

I've also been wanting to give my blog a little re-design for a while now. I know what I want to do, I just have to find make the time to sit down and do it!

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
I have a lot of ideas on content for the blog next month, including:
•  A vlog of my family's (insane) baking weekend
•  An unboxing video of the FabFitFun Winter box. It should be arriving in the mail soon, so hopefully I can get one up in the next week or two! (And of course, I've got you covered if you want to order one for yourself. Click HERE for 20% off!)
•  Finding Your Spark #2
•  A reflective post revisiting 2016
